Kathy’s Story

There are two things that are true of everything I teach - learn to listen to your body and value the environment.  Even though these may seem disconnected, understanding both help to bring you more clarity on each of them.

When it comes to teaching pilates, it is about going deep as you learn the method.  How is your body responding to the exercises?  Are you connecting to your breathe? Pilates is learning efficiency of movement, developing coordination, connecting your body from fingertips to toes and understanding that every movement begins at your center.

Cooking has always been intuitive for me. I was helping in the family kitchen at a young age and fearless when it came to putting dishes together. When some of my pilates clients talked to me about their food sensitivities, this need for dietary guidance became the seed that created my 28 Day Challenge; and later canihaveabite my organic meal prep and cafe.

Move Younger is a combination of my decades of teaching pilates and dance, personal mindfulness practices and creating two environmentally focused food businesses. My Move Younger Plan focuses on the three principles of longevity:

1) Diet: The food you consume.

2) Movement: Your daily practices.

3) Mindfulness: How you handle stress.

My philosophy is: 'Don't limit yourself by saying what you can't do, instead rediscover your inborn potential.'
